Rename /usr/src/sys/machine to /usr/src/sys/platform. Give the platform
name its own variable, MACHINE_PLATFORM, instead of trying to use MACHINE
to name it. Adjust the build infrastructure to match.

Revert MACHINE back to its original definition and remove uname shims.
This removes confusion with third party software.

This means a pc32 build has MACHINE=i386 and MACHINE_ARCH=i386, and a
vkernel build also has MACHINE=i386 and MACHINE_ARCH=i386. The new
MACHINE_PLAFORM would be pc32 for a pc32 build, and vkernel for a vkernel
build.

Adjust all kernel configuration files to specify platform, machine, AND
machine_arch.

Move <machine/dvcfg.h> to the one device that actually uses it, remove
other inclusions of dvcfg.h that are not used.

Give each platform architecture a "Makefile.inc" file which the build
system can use to determine device support when building devices.

Add a device that attaches to the memory controller. If ECC is enabled in
the BIOS the device will poll the controller once a second and report
any ECC corrections or uncorrectable errors.

This module is not loaded by default. To load the module, add the following
line to /boot/loader.conf. The module can only be loaded at boot-time:

    ecc_load="YES"'

As of this commit, only the AMD64's memory controller is supported.

Initial backport of NEWCARD from FreeBSD 5.

The included version is from end of November 2002 with the exception of
bus/pccard/pccarddevs which is from November 2003.

Thanks to Warner Losh and the other folks for NEWCARD.

Make modules work again part 1: hook up 'dev'. Note that not all devices
were converted to modules even in the original module build, so coverage
is somewhat spotty.
