Im not familiar with this,
but what if you try to replace this
  if (nsec >= 1000000000) {
  nsec -= 1000000000;
  ++tsp->tv_sec;
  }
with
  while (nsec >= 1000000000) {
  nsec -= 1000000000;
  ++tsp->tv_sec;
  }
