Hi Adam,

I built my firefox from a ports tree from some time
ago (maybe 2 or 3 weeks) build went fine. Don't know
about thunderbird, as I newer used it, but it should
build without a problem.

If everything, after you tried everything you can think
of (installing new world, updating your automake and
autoconf, portupgrade all packages, etc) you could
fetch a dfly binary from:

http://gobsd.com/packages/www/firefox-0.8_5.tgz

I know its bit dated, but thats only in case you don't get it
to work. Also freebsd 4.10 binary should work just fine (to
get the system running as quick as possible, I just pkg_add
what I needed from freebsd 4.9 CD, then I updated
everything with portupgrate -a).

I'm sure you will think of something and get it to work :).
