Re: Not sure if this should go here...

O.K! I simply installed the package from gobsd.org... I saw that, and I think maybe my system is a mishmash of DragonFly, 4.10 and 5.2! :)

Is there another forum to use for simple help and not-quite-newbie-but
almost-newbies? I am also having problems getting my sound configured and could use a shoulder to cry on, so to speak.

Thanks again!

...so please forgive me if it doesn't... but after recompiling my kernel (enabling smp) my gnome process monitor stopped working. Is there a fix for this or can I rebuild it somehow and make it work again?

Otherwise, the installation and adding of packages has been pretty flawless so far. This has been quite fun!

This libgtop was compiled on FreeBSD 4.10-STABLE i386

Note this line.

If you see strange problems caused by it,
you should recompile libgtop and dependent applications
LibGTop-Server: kvm_getprocs (-1069229967): Unknown error: 0
LibGTop-Server: kvm_getprocs (-1069229967): Invalid argument

And those two. Try to recompile the port with header files matching your
kernel, it seems the kernel interface is newer than one the port was compiled
against.
