    I've been trying to figure out what is going on from the dump.  It's
    very odd.  The process is marked P_SYSTEM and there are only two places
    where that can happen beyond the init process:  AIO and the SMB
    network protocol.

    From what I can tell from the dump only the SMB network protocol's
    use of P_SYSTEM fits the bill.  So my question to you is... is this
    system using the SMB network protocol?
