IBM 600E pc card slots

I managed to get my IBM 600E laptop booting DragonFly; I installed 1.0A,
put the 1.2.5 src on there, and rebuilt.  However, I can't get the pc card
slots to recognize the Xircom RealPort card or the Linksys WPC11 wireless
card that I have handy.  pccardd sees nothing.  Anyone got an idea for me?
