Re: LSI MegaRAID SATA 300-8X (or Intel SRCS28X) unsupported

I had to port amr driver from freebsd-6 to make my MegaRAID SATA
150-4, 64MB, PCI to work, unfortunatley this was just before the
release of 1.4 and there were made so many changes to the subsystems
right after it, so submiting my patch would have been useless anyways.

There are a lot of improvments in the freebsd-6 driver and I would
gladly assist with helping porting it / testing it if I can get some
assistance.

This card did not work under openbsd as of this spring.

[kreca@haze amn]% uname -a DragonFly haze.midron.tk 1.3.7-DEVELOPMENT DragonFly 1.3.7-DEVELOPMENT #2: Sun Oct 30 17:50:46 GMT 2005 kreca@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/HAZE i386

amrd0: <LSILogic MegaRAID logical drive> on amr0 amrd0: 715410MB (1465159680 sectors) RAID 5

I've been running this driver since last year without any panics or problems.

The MegaRAID SATA 300-8X is supported by amr(4) in FreeBSD, I guess you
could update our version. I couldn't find out what changes are necessary
exactly, but perhaps you could share the PCI IDs?

Cheers,
