Issue #2389 has been reported by Pierre Abbat.

----------------------------------------
Bug #2389: computer crashed while listing processes
http://bugs.dragonflybsd.org/issues/2389

Author: Pierre Abbat
Status: New
Priority: Normal
Assignee:
Category:
Target version:

I was running a bulk build, and one of my cron jobs, which runs every six minutes, was backlogged, with about 11 processes running when there should be at most 1. I listed them with pidof, then killed them, then checked if any were left. The computer did not answer, but rebooted. When it came up again, I found both a ps core file and a kernel dump with the same filetime. This doesn't quite make sense, as I was running pidof, not ps. They're in dump 13 in my crash directory. This is version 3.1.0.274.
