:I'm not sure if this is sufficient, but we will see. nrelease/buildiso 
:runs at least pkg_add and friends, so RELEASE kernel needs to be able 
:to do so.

    There could be gotchas, but the purpose of that check was primarily
    to prevent people from shooting themselves in the foot when doing
    a normal installworld, and it still does that.
