Dear Gang,

I received this today. I know some of you on this list are interested Embedded Programming and RTL type stuff.

After a discussion with Matt, if we are planning to get many of these, we might end up creating a proper forum for it. Anyway, for the meantime, this list is the best candidate.

Best regards,

P.S. Markus, I am forwarding this to the DragonFlyBSD's kernel list, so that anyone interested in this job will contact you directly.

Dear Hiten:

I am currently recruiting for the following opportunity with my company
based in our Cambridge UK office. The position description is noted below
for your review. If you are interested in being considered, would you
please forward your CV to me and advise me of a good time when I may call to
talk with you regarding this position?

Principle SW Engineer:
Primary responsibility is for continued development of the port of GCC to
the Broadcom Firepath processor. The applicant will be part of a small team
which has responsibility for the whole software development toolchain, which
includes the behavioural models of the processor, ports of binutils and gdb,
and various other tools.

We are looking for someone who can take the compiler forward and solve
non-trivial problems, including how to make best use of FirePath's SIMD
nature and how to schedule code in an optimal manner for a VLIW processor.
There is scope for collaboration with others outside Broadcom, and for
contribution of work to the FSF where appropriate.

Experience of developing compiler internals, (preferably GNU GCC), an
understanding of code generation strategies and processor architectures and
optimisation techniques.

Knowledge of C, C++ and Unix.

A good degree and 2+ years relevant industry experience.

I hope to hear from you with regards to your interest. If you have no
interest in the opportunity but know of someone who may benefit from
receiving my e-mail, please do not hesitate to forward it on.
