Have you tried the various tuning knobs on the 4365 port? 

The two most likely to have an effect are WITH_FREEBSD_AGP=1 (changes to use
standard gart (needs agp.ko loaded) instead of NVidia's builtin gart) and
WITH_NVIDIA_HACKS=1 (which enables some "nvidia workarounds") ...
