Hi,

just got those on the console after the latest round of commits. Thought
I'd mention them:

Apr 14 05:02:04 <mail.crit> zoot sm-msp-queue[803]: k3E324B7000803:
SYSERR(root): fill_fd: disconnect: fd 1 not open: Bad file descriptor
Apr 14 05:02:04 <mail.alert> zoot sm-msp-queue[803]: k3E324B7000803:
SYSERR(root): fill_fd: disconnect: cannot open /dev/null: Permission denied

What are the permissions on /dev/null ? Last time I saw this problem
there was an issue with the syncer during shutdown.

644, I've changed them back to 666.

I have to add that I did get a panic upon shutdown after the last rebuild (incorporating Matt's latest set of changes in sys/kern and sys/vfs) but somehow I'm unable to produce a dump on that machine. Now that you've mentioned it, I guess the /dev/null issue was due to the machine not shutting down properly.

Thanks,
Sascha
