Sure, but it is convenient to mirror a drive in 2 or 3 easy steps, no 
config file, just read instructions and follow them. Also todays IDE 
disks are so big a gb here or there doesnt matter all that much.

Indeed, Ive used it a few times before and its nice (way better than 
vinum in my opinion)
