I have been using DragonFly as a desktop for over a year now.  I have
also been installing hundreds of DragonFly desktops in offices this
year.

Once you have your base install done you can install several packages
via the pkg_add tool. Example
pkg_add -r XFree86
pkg_add -r kde
pkg_add -r gnome2
pkg_add -r openoffice
