ral(4) PCMCIA / cbb problem

Hello (again)

Having scrapped my dodgy D-Link ath(4) based card, I am now trying an
MSI CardBus CB54G2 card.

It attaches but 'dmesg | grep ral' says:

Preloaded elf module "/modules/if_ral.ko" at 0xc050245c.
ral0: <Ralink Technology RT2560> mem 0x88002000-0x88003fff irq 11 at device 0.0 on cardbus0
ral0: MAC/BBP RT2560 (rev 0xffffffff), RF unknown
ral0: MAC address: ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff
ral0: could not read from BBP
<snip>
ral0: could not read from BBP
ral0: timeout waiting for BBP

I saw a post in the archives with a similar problem but a cbb patch
fixed it. I am running 1.9.0-PREVIEW and have applied the latest cbb
patch (cbb_020407.diff) but it makes no difference.

If it's any help, 'vmstat -i' (after patching) gives:

interrupt total rate

Total 29605 276

FWIW, NetBSD 4.99.xx - on the same disk - gives the card a valid MAC address.

TIA for any help.
