How to mount a USB stick?

I plugged in my sole USB stick. It was named as da0 I tried:

mount /dev/da0 /mnt

but got a message saying invalid superblock.

Since I have used it on linux, I tried -t ext2fs but got:

wrong magic number 0 (expected ....)

What am I supposed to do?
