how to switch compiler versions

Hi:

On my AMD64X2 box, there are two gcc compiler version

.  gcc 4.1.2  (default)
.  gcc 4.4.x  (buildworld, installworld)

Is there a script/command that can be used to switch to a
particular compiler version, say 4.4.2 in this case ?
