em ... can you send that as text please? ... i have no idea how to
translate that into text

First save the encoded text, stripped of all extraneous text including the header lines I quoted above and the footer line at the end.

Save it as an ordinary text file called e.g. save.txt.  Then
to display the decoded text on the screen:

uudecode -mr save.txt

or to save the file to disk:

uudecode -mr save.txt > xorg.conf

Most mail/news readers these days are mime-aware, even the text-
only ones like slrn.  I'm a bit surprised it doesn't offer to
do the decoding automatically for you.
